COVERSYL is in the class of medicine, called angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. These types of medications allow your heart to pump blood more easily by widening the blood vessels. COVERSYL tablets are light-green
rod-shaped film-coated tablets with one side debossed and scored on both edges containing 5mg of perindopril arginine. The tablets can be divided into two equal doses. The tablets are in packs of 30 film-coated tablets with a polyethylene flow reducer and a green opaque stopper. COVERSYL is used in the treatment of the following diseases: Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension), treatment of heart failure (condition where the heart is unable to pump sufficiently to maintain blood flow to meet the body's needs), reduction of the risk of cardiac events, such as a heart attack in patients who have stable coronary artery disease (the reduction of blood flow to the heart muscle due to narrowing of the blood vessels [coronary arteries] that feed the heart) and had an heart attack and/or have undergone surgery to widen the heart blood vessels.
